The Rev Dino With Frequency on Primer Radio

frequency
Reverend Dino (dean-ohhh) Mangino
was raised in the wet and grey Pacific Northwest, where as a child he worked the forests thinning trees. Growing tired of smelling of pine pitch and living off of rainwater and spruce bud worms, he moved to the big city of Portland, OR, where he started his quest for rock and roll stardom during the late 1980s and early 90s New Wave to Grunge era.

With classical percussion and jazz fusion training under his belt, Dino made an attempt at becoming a legendary drumming deity, in the band “The Stoopid Chemists.” Unsuccessful in his attempt, he turned to what other disillusioned, failed musician’s do- he became a harsh and cutting music critic for a local music ‘zine.

Over the next year and through a variety of circumstances, Dino soon took over the music magazine, and with the help of an amazing all volunteer staff of 27 people, turned a dinky, inconstantly published rag and built it into a regionally popular and successful music, art and lifestyle magazine, running it for three years- until its closing in Winter of 2000.

Dino pondered his next moves and soon found his way to the hot and dry weather of the Southwest, where he opened a small record store. Little did he know that he and his long time friend and business partners’ small little store would cause two of their long time in business competitors to have to merge together to battle against Dino and the little store.

Dino, with promotional success in the past of rock music shows under the music magazine, decided to throw large electronic music events (aka Raves) and between himself, his business partner and their small little store- are credited by many people in reviving the electronic music scene in Arizona, with the first big event in the state in over Three years, “Delight.”

Still never giving up his dreams of being a backstage Rockstar and being able to play toss the headcheese on the exposed back of the groupie in a pirate costume, he took to managing bands and out of the bands he worked with, actually scored one who made something of themselves, until their label closed.

Wandering aimlessly through the desert, he ran across Yeti Wizard Todd Alan and with this seed called Primer Radio Todd Planted…and with a lot of fertilizer the two of them have marched through together with their other partner...cultivated this seed and have grown it into a giant bean stock.

Currently, Yeti Wizard Todd and Reverend Dino along with the rest of the Primer Radio team are climbing the stock to see what beans are growing at the top, ever stopping along the way to record shows to speak of their lives.

Some days, he still thinks of the taste of roasted spruce bud worms…

You can hear Rev. Dino on the Unsigned and Indie rock music show Frequency, Friday nights on PrimerRadio.com

Primer Radio in the top 50 Worldwide!!!

The Todd Alan Show on Primer Radio

Who is Todd Alan?

Some would say the answer to this question is an easy one… He’s just a guy with a radio show, but those who believe that would be gravely mistaken.

Some would say that life started somewhere out there beyond the stars, but come’on we all know it was formed here on earth and that the planet is really only 4000-ish years old and because Jesus hid the dinosaur bones to F’With modern day scientists. Oh, yes… back to Todd Alan.

We know that somewhere in the primordial ooze, some 3997 years ago, the creatures appeared from the tide-pools and those biped air breathing half Cod and half spider monkey looking creatures were the first in the Todd Alan Bloodline.

Through a tricky combination of Evolution and Luck, Todd Alan was born to what became a tribe of heavily furred Yeti like Zen Wizards- who trained Todd in humility, which led him on a path of self-discovery (not the late night, tissue kind) and sent Todd, out upon the world to fill the world with his wisdom, guidance and to try to touch the world with his heart of Gold.

Taking on an almost super hero persona, the now shaved, less yeti haired Todd, ventures the world, expunging his knowledge upon the masses.

Trying to fit in with the “Modern Society” Todd is an avid surfer, and when he has the opportunity, he loves to travel to Hawaii and swim to sea caves where he sleeps under the stars to the roaring of the waves, and the sounds and voices of his ancient relatives swimming out amongst them.

Todd loves to give back to the community and with his charismatic and outgoing personality, attracts many people to him. He is a giving and caring person, but cross him once, and “poof” you’re done and he’s gone. It’s the Yeti Wizard magic… allows for easy escape.

On the Todd Alan Show, Todd reflects on past life experiences and wants to give back to people from the knowledge and wisdom he’s gained from his many years on the planet. Todd Alan has a solid understanding of promotions and marketing, which he’s developed through life on the streets, learning, growing, experiencing… Todd hopes to someday use his skills to launch his own website telling the story of the Zen Yeti Wizards and their plight to find food to survive other than eating a diet of only sea cucumbers with penguin haunches in an orange with roasted garlic and olive oil Demi-glaze.
